1099 Mobile Notary Contractor - Daytime Overflow - SLO & Santa Barbara Counties

Notary To Go.ink is seeking 1-2 reliable, commissioned California Notaries for daytime overflow referrals.

About Us: Established mobile notary brand based in Oceano / Five Cities area.

I am a commissioned CA Notary and full-time teacher, so I turn away 5-10 daytime calls per week. Clients are searching for same-day mobile service for POAs, trust docs, parental permissions, car titles, etc. (No loan signings).

Service Area: San Luis Obispo County (Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Oceano, Nipomo, San Luis Obispo, Avila) and Northern Santa Barbara County (Santa Maria, Orcutt, Lompoc, Los Alamos).

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position - not employment. You choose your availability and which jobs you accept. Ideal for a local notary who wants extra work without having to market.

COMPENSATION - CA Compliant & Transparent:

- YOU KEEP: 100% of CA statutory notary fees (up to $15 per signature) + 100% of travel fee charged to client (we charge $0.70/mile or flat trip fee based on distance)

- I KEEP: Flat $35 dispatch / scheduling fee per completed appointment, billed separately to client as "Scheduling & Convenience Fee"

- Example: 2 signatures ($30) + $45 travel = $75 to you. Client pays $110 total. No fee-splitting.

Requirements:

- Active California Notary Public Commission (must provide #)

- $15k Bond + minimum $100k E&O Insurance (proof required)

- Current NNA Background Check

- Own notary seal, journal, reliable vehicle, valid auto insurance, smartphone

- Lives in SLO County or North Santa Barbara County

- must be local

- Professional, punctual, friendly, great with clients

- Able to respond to texts/calls within 60 minutes during your stated available hours (8am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri) - Comfortable collecting payment via Venmo/Zelle/cash and remitting dispatch fee within 48 hours
